Stronger core for a smaller waist. Here are a few simple core exercises you can do without any equipment that can be done anywhere. Try them several times a day and in time you will be ready to try more challenging exercises.

This first one can be done anywhere and in any position, at your desk, standing in line or sitting on the couch. Contract your stomach, pull it in, imagine pulling your belly button back toward your spine. Hold this position for 10 to 15 seconds then relax. See, simple. Do this 10 times, 10 to 50 times a day, it's easy and works. The next is to lie on your back on the floor, knees bent, feet flat on the floor. Then tighten your stomach and push with your feet to raise your buttocks up a few inches. Hold this position for 10 to 12 seconds then lower yourself back to the floor. Repeate 10 times. You should do this 2 or 3 times a day.

Once you have done these simple exercise for a few weeks you will be ready to move on to more challenging exercises.
